Four paneled mother of pearl handle with ornate nickel silver ferrule and pommel. Spear point blade with forged bolster and filework on obverse of spine, deeply etched on face of blade TAYLOR (eye) WITNESS SHEFFIELD ENG. Nickel silver sheath engraved on both sides, with foliate scrollwork, a steer head, geometric designs and a banner reading FOR CALIFORNIA. Circa 1890s-1920s. CONDITION Blade appears unsharpened with original polish, lightly scratched from sheath and with scattered surface spidering.
