1941 produced Marlin 39-A with case colored receiver. 'B' prefix serial number. Blued round barrel. Stocks are relief carved in a Germanic style. The right side of the butt features two squirrels on a branch. The forend has an oak leaf pattern with acorns. Extremely well done, although we do not know by whom. Original Marlin "dot" in the stock. Unmarked hard rubber buttplate. CONDITION: Receiver retains 80% case colors. Barrel and tube retain 95% blue. All markings are clear. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Stock has some light handling marks, stock carving is sharp. Fine mechanical function. GR
