Likely made in Birmingham and retailed by Schaefer of Boston, this was a higher grade gun when new. Damascus barrels with plain top rib and steel front bead. Boxlock action is nicely scroll engraved, and sculpted on bottoms with blued and engraved triggerplate. The gun has double triggers, extractors, and non-auto safety. The highly figured butt is checkered in two point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a checkered horn buttplate. Splinter forend with engraved Deeley release is checkered in two point pattern. CONDITION: Very good as found. Barrels retain about 75% of their original pattern. Action retains traces of original color with triggerplate retaining 80% of its original blue. Stocks are mostly sound with the exception of a beginning grain check near the toe and retain about 80% of their original finish with scattered scratches. Bores are lightly frosted. Mechanics are fine.
