Made in 1916 by Ansley H. Fox Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, this fine gun features Krupp blued steel barrels with concave matted rib with twin ivory beads and ejectors. Boxlock case hardened action with automatic safety, early "C" style engraving and double triggers. Figured checkered walnut buttstock with round knob grip and Silver's type solid rubber recoil pad. Splinter type forearm with latch release and ebony inlay. Comes with Callahan letter and reproduction hang tag. CONDITION: Barrels have 90% of a professional reblue with mirror bores. Wood has been refinished with checkering being redone and 85% finish remaining with a new period style pad being added. Action has 60% case colors with wear on handled surfaces. CORRECTION: Drop at comb is 1-9/16"-, Drop at comb is 2-1/2"+.
