Utica Savage made gun with Sterlingworth Compressed steel barrels with matted concave top rib which have small steel bead which has been slightly crushed. Replacement forend wood is checkered in point pattern. Action is engraved with zig zag border pattern and marked "FOX STERLINGWORTH" on sides. Replacement straight grip buttstock with new long tang trigger guard is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a Jostam brand ventilated pad. Made with double triggers, extractors, auto safety. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain most of an older restored rust blued finish with an area of pock marks or two near the muzzle. Action, with some color in protected areas has beginning surface erosion on sides. Replacement wood is excellent and retains most of its custom finish. This gun would be wonderful in the field or as a gun to start a new double gunner out with!
