Lot consists of (A) A good iron mounted Spanish powder flask, 8 - 1/2" long, with engraved, pieced, belt hook, carrying ring, and well forged spout and spring. CONDITION: Very good, clear engraving on belt hook, horn beautifully fluted with none of the usual horn worm defects. (B) German 17th century boxwood powder flask, 5" in diameter, bound with iron and with iron spout. CONDITION: Untouched throughout, worn, and obviously heavily used but most attractive. Good for any collector of Spanish miquelets and wheelock firearms. PROVENANCE From the Collection of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art.
