This stout 12 gauge boxlock was made in Eibar Spain and marketed under the brand "Ames" which is found on the top of the barrel. It has double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. Chamber has been lengthened to 3". The gun has side clips and Greener style crossbolt. The splinter forend with Anson type pushbutton release is checkered in three point pattern. Straight grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern and terminates with a Arizaga buttplate. Action is lightly engraved with dog on each side and light floral pattern. Trigger plate is blued. CONDITION: Very good. Barrels retain about 95% original blued finish. Action retains most of its original coin finish. Stocks with some finish added for preservation are sound with a few minor marks throughout and checkering lightly thinned. Mechanics are fine. Bores are bright and shiny.
