Lot consists of (A) US Springfield Model 1884. Standard in all respects with Buffington rear sight, 1884 dated block, rod bayonet, walnut stock, sling swivels, two bands. Barrel has VP eagle head stamp at breech. The is a visible but faint Sam Porter 1891 cartouche on left side of stock. CONDITION: Metal is basically a soft blue drifting patina. Traces of case color. Stock is excellent with usual handling marks. Rifling is sharp. (B) Modelo Argentino 1879, bayonet side lug, three band, full length walnut stock, sling swivels. Gun has military rear rifle sight with post front. Includes ramrod. CONDITION: Reblued and walnut stocks refinished. Action is fine. Bore is near mint with sharp rifling.
