Offered is a fine little 20 bore made by L.C. Smith in 1919 that appears to have been factory refinished; there is an R stamped after the serial number on all three basic parts that is not of the same font or die as that of the serial number and it was refinished at one time. Features 2 3/4" chambers with cylinder choked 24" barrels with full matted rib. Fitted with standard extractors, splinter fore-end with Anson release, case color and engraved side plates with hand checkered deluxe finish pistol grip walnut stock and Mershon pad. Double triggers. CONDITION: The frame retains over 90% factory type case colors while the barrel retains similar amount of rust blue as refinished. The walnut stocks are lovely with sharp checkering and usual minor handling marks and impressions. Bores are clean. It is our opinion that this was refinished by the factory and remains today in superb condition. A great skeet or upland game gun.
