US military inspectors mark on the left side of the frame. Standard Colt markings and configuration. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked on the bottom of the barrel, "U.S./ ARMY/ MODEL/ 1917" marked on the butt followed by the Government serial number. CONDITION: The gun retains a pleasing patina overall with some areas of very light pitting and wear. Markings are clear. There is no number on the barrel or the cylinder. Matching numbers on the crane and inside of the frame. The barrel is a replacement as it is in 95% condition with slight handling marks. Grips show moderate wear with a minor chip of the front bottom of each side. Good mechanical function. GR
