Heavy octagonal barrel is deeply struck "TRYON PHILADA". The lock is deeply struck "TRYON". Plain walnut half stock with German silver forend tip and edge escutcheons. Stirrup rammer. Inlay on side plate. Period engraved "No 21". Brass trigger guard, no butt cap. CONDITION: Barrel is polished with no discernible pitting. Lock is extremely crisp and appears to retain some original finish. Stock is good, with only minor marks and no cracks. Action is crisp. Bore is good. An interesting American percussion belt pistol with the number 21 requiring further research. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
