Navy model with 24 inch leather covered barrel. 6,686 of these were purchased by the US Navy during the Civil War. CONDITION: Receiver retains 20% original mottled case colors. Markings are clear. Leather covered barrel retains most of the original leather wrapping with some flaking, stitching is solid. There is a piece of leather missing from the bottom where it would cover part of the receiver. Brass buttplate retains a pleasing patina. Wood stock has some dings and handling marks. Bore is very good with strong rifling and some minor pitting. Fine mechanical function. GR
