Scarce P.S. Justice musket made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Two brass banded barrel rifled musket with brass trigger guard, nosecap and Sharp's style patchbox. Percussion lock with Eagle over "U.S." stamp and "P.S. Justice Phila." maker's mark. "P.S. Justice" marked musket barrel with fixed front sight. bayonet stud and graduated rear sight. Tang numbered 110. Trigger guard marked "B.G.Mann" at wrist. Walnut wood stock with brass buttplate and iron ramrod. No visible stock proofs. Comes with brass handled saber style unmarked original bayonet. PROVENANCE: Benjamin G. Mann was listed as an attorney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Genealogical papers come with gun. CONDITION: Overall fine patina on metal parts. Wood retains original finish with light handling marks. Mechanically sound. Middle band missing sling swivel. Bayonet missing scabbard.
