One of 4000 John Miles made "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" muskets. Musket style three banded barrel with "Liberty cap" over "P" proofmark near breech. Flint lock with "Miles" over "CP" at rear of lock. Walnut musket stock with "SB" on the cheek and "BB" punch marked behind lock. CONDITION: Musket has been cleaned years ago and is now exhibiting some aged patina. Wood is solid with usage and handling marks. Mechanically sound. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
