1816 style U.S. musket with lock dated 1831. Flint lock marked with "U.S." over sunburst and maker's name "N. Starr". Rear of lock marked with Middleton, Conn and date and sunburst. Barrel marked with "US", "LS" and "P" in circle proof. Tang is dated 1831. Walnut wood stock with iron furniture including "US" stamping on buttplate. Comes with "US" marked bayonet. CONDITION: Overall good with cleaned finish. Wood has light handling marks and has been cleaned. Lock appears to be in its original flintlock configuration. Mechanically sound. From the Robert Sadler Collection.
