This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/10/2019
It is estimated that 5000 of these were made between 1865-70 in Brooklyn before the company was purchased by Colt in 1870 where this model saw continued manufacture as the Colt First Model Deringer until 1890. This lot contains one iron frame model and two of the scarcer brass frame models. All were chambered for the .41 rimfire cartridge and were made completely of metal with light engraving on frame. CONDITION: None of these retain any significant factory finish. The brass frame models have gray metal patina barrels while the iron frame shows some pitting. All have nice bores with strong rifling and all are in working condition.
