Receiver manufactured by Steyr in 1943. Steyr "SSZZA4" waffenamt stamp on left side of barrel beside serial number. Mauser "WaA135" waffenamt stamped on stock. Buttplate marked "gqm/43" above a "WaA98" waffenamt. Numbers are electro-penciled to be a forced match. Top hand guard is laminated wood. Sight hood is not present. Complete with cleaning rod and "L.S. Fkw" marked sling. CONDITION: Metal components show patina through blue finish with majority of finish remaining. Stock shows scattered handling marks. Bore is bright with small areas of pitting. Strong rifling throughout. A fine example of a 98k to bring to the range.
