Lot consists of (A) S&W .38 M&P Model 1905 4th change. Matching numbers on frame, cylinder and barrel. Proper style pre-War diamond checkered grips are not numbered. Blue finish with fixed sights, six shot double action with case color hammer, trigger, and lanyard loop. Frame is five screw and barrel is pinned. This revolver is British proofed indicating it was sent to Great Britain at the start of the Second World War as part of the Lend-Lease Act. CONDITION: The sides of barrel are thinning and there are typical handling marks always found on British export guns. Nice case colors on hammer and trigger. Grips are excellent. Fine bore and action. This gun did not see a lot of use outside a holster. (B) Same model and marks as above but the grips are the Victory style smooth walnut type that are numbered to gun. CONDITION: The sides of barrel are thinning and there are typical handling marks always found on British export guns. Nice case colors on hammer and trigger. Grips are chipped. Fine bore and action.
