17'' x 19'' x 3'' Deep. Circa 1935. Set ''No. 306/2.'' Set has some similarities as well as some distinct differences to the Lionel train set (see lot#1208). The large box label 10'' x 12 - 1/2'' has overall trace dust soiling and several small surface paper flakes although not really affecting the appearance. The box has edge splits and tears that have been re-glued as well as some color touchups. Box is complete with cardboard inserts to separate the various pieces. (Very Good). The tin litho engine is 7 - 1/2'' L., and totally different from the Lionel version. This engine is marked ''Silver Link,'' and comes with a replacement key that works. The three 6'' L., tin litho train cars have the same images on sides while the roof panels are plain yellow and lack the detailing of the Lionel set. The 4'' L., coal car is similar and has the same design including Mickey composition figure, however this has a tin panel representing coal which was not included with the Lionel set. Coal car reads ''Mickey The Stoker.'' This set has six curved track sections. The main difference is rather that having die-cut cardboard accessories, this set has a beautiful all-litho tent. Four side panels feature choice illustrations. The top of the tent is complete with four matching ''Mickey Mouse Circus'' thin litho flags that fit around the sides. Also, the top of the tent has a recessed area complete with a wood block that holds a striped flag. Entire set has general wear from use but is still nice overall. Missing the barker figure.
