(A) Type 38 manufactured by Koishikawa. Mum is intact. Bolt matches bayonet stud band and bolt stop assembly, all of which are marked with a series 25 stamp. Complete with cleaning rod and cloth sling. CONDITION: Metal components show corrosion all around. Stock shows losses to wood all around and a burn mark near the buttplate. Bright bore with light frosting. Strong rifling throughout. (B) Early Type 99 manufactured by Toyo Kogyo. Mum is intact. Bolt does not match receiver, but matches self and barrel. Barrel stud band is squared at bottom. Barrel has been bored out to fire .300 Savage ammunition. Rear aircraft sight has been removed and replaced with an adjustable Redfield peep sight. Aircraft sight is present with rifle. Complete with cleaning rod and reproduction monopod and sling. CONDITION: Metal components show areas of thinning and loss to finish. Stock shows scattered handling marks. Bore is bright, with small area of cleaned pitting. Strong rifling throughout.
