Lot consists of a Berlin-Lubecker 98k and a Yugoslavian M23/47 bolt action rifles. (A) C.A.I. import, manufactured in 1937 by Berlin-Lubecker. "S/237" code found on receiver ring. Receiver, barrel, and stock are matching. Bolt and floorplate are electro-penciled to be a forced match. Buttstock has manufacturer name and date carved into varnish. Complete with cleaning rod and leather sling. CONDITION: Metal components show little cosmetic wear to reapplied blue finish. Light pitting is visible under bluing. Stock shows few handling marks with scattered wear to varnish. Good bore with strong rifling throughout. (B) SAMCO import, manufactured in Yugoslavia. Receiver, bolt handle, stock, and floorplate are matching. Yugoslavian crest on receiver ring. Complete with cleaning rod. CONDITION: Metal components show little cosmetic wear to blue finish. Stock shows little wear aside from a repair at the top of the magazine housing. Handguard is mismatched. Bright bore with light an area of light cleaned pitting. Strong rifling throughout.
