(A) Model 1873 Trapdoor Springfield .45-70 Rifle with high arch breech and early 73 pattern rear sight. One piece walnut sight with spurious ESA cartouche. CONDITION: Good as totally restored. Corrosion on butt and several areas of wood filler to rear of tang. Bore is very fine. Blue finish is contemporary. (B) Springfield 1870 Rifle in .50-70 Government. One piece walnut stock with bright finished barrel and furniture. Stock retains visible cartouche and numerous period bruises. Butt plate is pitted bore is very good with slight spotting.
