(A) 1893 manufactured Springfield 1884 Cadet Rifle with period leather trapdoor sling. One piece walnut stock with two retaining bands. Buffington pattern rear sight. Blue finished barrel and furniture with case colored breech and tang. CONDITION: Very fine with a coat of old grease that will clean. Most all blue finish remains with some thinning at muzzle. Buttplate is brown. Bore is superb, bright and shiny with sharp grooves. Breech and tang retain bountiful amounts of vivid case colors. Action is operational. (B) 1883 manufactured. Springfield 1873/78 pattern, one piece walnut stock with two retaining bands and crisp SWP 1882 cartouche. Comes with period Trapdoor sling. Blue and case color finishes. Exceptional fine bore and mechanically functional. Vivid case colors on breech and tang, blue finish on barrel and furniture is very fine with slight fading at muzzle and butt plate.
