(A) Model 1896 Krag rifle made into a carbine possibly by Bannerman. Gun has carbine style walnut stocks with some correct parts. Sight is not marked with a "C". Does not fall in carbine serial number range. Added sling swivel on stock. Writing on stock from previous owner. CONDITION: Well worn condition with metal having a silvery patina. Wood has worn finish from service and handling marks. Mechanics are good. Good shootable bore. (B) Nicely done conversion of a Model 1898 Krag rifle to a carbine with the usage of some original parts including a "C" marked rear sight. Front sight is added band sight. Gun does not fall into carbine serial number range. Another possible Bannerman conversion. CONDITION: Overall good with 70% blue on metal parts and wood having 70% varnish with some scratches and dings. Mechanics are good. Good shootable bore.
