Lot consists of two WWI era G98 bolt action rifles. (A) Receiver manufactured by DWM in 1916. Berlin-Lubecker "WaA214" waffenamt stamps on barrel and a drooping eagle over "H" waffenamt on stock. Imperial eagle stamped on left side of receiver ring. Matching numbers include the barrel and receiver. Cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: Metal components retain majority of blue finish with few areas of wear. Pitting under bluing on bolt handle. (B) Receiver manufactured by Simson & Co. in 1916. Chamber is marked "S" for spitzer conversion. Partially worn away imperial eagle on left side of receiver ring. Matching numbers aside from bolt. Complete with cleaning rod and sling. CONDITION: Metal components show light pitting and corrosion all around. Stock shows many scattered handling marks. Bore is dark and shows strong rifling.
