Lot consists of: (A) Original 1894 saddle ring carbine in .32-40 caliber made in 1894, first year production. Standard features include 20" round barrel,full magazine, post front sight, ladder rear sight, walnut stocks and carbine butt. CONDITION: All of the metal with exception to saddle ring and butt-plate, including sights, has been nickel plated. The stocks have been refinished with tacks added to forearm and butt. Action is fine and bore is sharp with frosted grooves. (B) Engraved reproduction Winchester Model 1866 saddle ring carbine. Made in Italy and marketed by Navy Arms. Standard features include 20" round barrel, full magazine, two bands, brass frame and butt-plate with walnut stocks. Carbine was made to commemorate The Battle of the Little Big Horn and so inscribed on right side of frame with date 1876-1976. The left side of frame has scroll engraving with Indian Chief. The stocks are tacked. CONDITION: Gun is near new inside and out with minor handling marks.
