Lot consists of (A) Outstanding Remington 1903A3 rifle with 2 groove barrel dated 1-43. FJA cartouche with RIA re-inspection marking on straight Remington two pin stock. Parkerized and blue finishes. CONDITION. Exceptional, little evidence of use with crisp makings on excellent stocks. Minor storage marks as is expected. Bore is pristine. Mixture of blue and parkerized finishes as is correct. Comes with faded cotton M1 sling. (B) 1917 manufactured Rock Island 1903, 2-44 dated HS barrel with TE2 and ME1. Rebuilt for World War II issue with "D" stock with RIA cartouche and type 3 handguard. Updated sight knobs, smooth buttplate. Bore is very good with sharp rifling and action operates properly. Stock lightly sanded but very good. Phosphate finish is thinning but retains over 80%. Low number receiver considered not safe to fire.
