Lot consists of: (A) Rebuilt World War II Springfield Model 1903. Has a 1930 built frame with an SA 8-42 dated barrel. Refinished World War II stock with faint and not readable cartouche. All milled parts. CONDITION:Parkerized World War II finish. 1944 dated sling. Retains 98% of reapplied finish. TE reading 2. (B) US Remington US Model 1903-A3 converted to .22. The barrel was lined and an M2 bolt fitted to a standard World War II rifle with an RA 12-43 dated barrel. Has proper A3 rear sight. Correct FJA cartouched stock. Floorplate altered to accept a .22 caliber magazine which is stamped EXP as is the stock near floorplate. All external parts are correct for an A3 Remington model. We must surmise that this alteration was done by the Armory with the EXP stamp and perfectly fitted M2 short throw bolt. CONDITION: Metal has parkerized finish of which majority is still present and the stocks are excellent with sharp stamps. Bore is fine as is action. First of this type we have seen.
