Lot consists of: (A) Dated 1913. Standard blue finish with checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: Poor, totally refinished in matte grey, legends on left side of frame hand restamped and worn. Bore is fine. (B) Dated 1918. Matching numbers. Standard blue finish and checkered walnut grips. CONDITION: This is a nice and clean example. 70% original blue turning and blending a soft plum patina. Razor sharp legends. Sharp checkered walnut grips. Mirror bore with sharp rifling. These were well used in the trenches during the first World War and an extremely important weapon of that era.
