Lot consists of: (A) Remington Model 1885/87 Hammer shotgun with double triggers and extractors. Case hardened action. Laminated steel barrels with concave smooth rib marked "E. Remington and Sons, Ilion, N.Y.". Figured walnut checkered round knob pistol grip stock with Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. Checkered splinter forearm with ebony inlay and latch release. Comes with leather faced leg o' mutton case. CONDITION: Gun retains 80% finish on barrels with mirror bores. Action has 70% case colors remaining. Wood has 70% original gloss finish with handling marks. Gun locks up tight and functions fine. B) Remington Model 1889 hammer shotgun with double triggers and extractors. Case hardened action. Damascus steel barrels with matted rib marked" Remington Arms Co.". Checkered walnut round knob pistol grip stock with Remington logo hard rubber buttplate. Checkered splinter forearm with ebony inlay and latch release. CONDITION: Overall good with metal parts fading to a silvery patina. Wood worn from use with small crack behind action and burn mark on comb. Gun locks up tight with opening lever slightly left of center. Bores exhibit some pitting.
