Remington's patent Springfield Model 1871 Rolling block single shot military rifled musket. Full military stock with steel hardware and "US" marked buttplate. Case hardened receiver with "Model 1871" on left side and "(Eagle) / US Springfield 1872". Comes with period leather military style sling and cleaning rod. CONDITION: 80% action casehardening with sharp markings. Barrel has excellent bore with original in the white finish. Wood has traces of original varnish with some handling scratches. Sling is oil soaked but still solid. Mechanically solid.
