Lot consists of (A) Remington Model 1871 rolling block rifle with "SNY" cartouche for State of New York militia use. Three barrel bands with distinctive high spur hammer. "SNY" cartouche on right side of stock and "H.B.H" cartouche on left side of stock. Blued finish with full walnut military style stock. Buttplate marked on top with " 9 D 17" indicating company and regiment. Comes with original ramrod and reproduction leather sling. CONDITION: Overall good with metal parts cleaned to a silvery finish. Shootable bore with good mechanics. Wood cleaned with visible cartouches. (B) "SNY" cartouche. Walnut full military stock with correct cartouches. 55 A regimental marks on top of buttplate. High spur hammer and three barrel bands. Blued finish on all metal parts. Comes with original ramrod and reproduction leather sling. CONDITION: Metal parts cleaned to silvery patina. Good mechanics and bore. Wood cleaned with light oil finish applied. Cartouches visible.
