Among the most desirable guns of this series are the early so called "high polish" models. This is such and example in extremely high original condition. It has a lot of the early features including a flat barrel bushing, 4" barrel, first type rubber grips with scalloped Colt border. All of the small parts and screws exhibit the fire or nitre blue. The magazine catch is checkered and comes with one original full blue magazine with pinned high polish unmarked base. CONDITION: This fine gun has some minor high edge wear but still retains approximately 95% of the original high polish blue including the straps. Still has a strong rifled bore and fine action. CORRECTION: Grips are modern reproductions.
