Lot consists of (A) 2nd Model US issue Schofield Revolver with 7" barrel in .45 caliber, six shot single action, top break, US stamp on butt and walnut grips. There are no visible cartouche remaining on grips. Matching number on cylinder. Various US inspector stamps. CONDITION: While the legends are sharp, there is no original finish remaining. The action indexes and locks up tightly. The bore is quite nice with sharp rifling. Obviously spent time in a holster. (B) .38-44 No. 3 Single Action Target. Has 6 - 1/2" barrel, Paine front sight with adjustable rear sight, six shot, single action top break, nickel with S&W black composite grips. Matching number on barrel and latch but no number on cylinder. Original grips are very good and fit properly. Traces of original nickel finish but basically a dark gray patina. Fine rifling and action.
