Lot consists of (A) Model 1849 featuring the scarce 6" octagon barrel, five shot, single action made in 1864. Every number on this gun matches including wedge. CONDITION: Cylinder has a 80% stagecoach scene. Straps are brass with flashes of plating. All legends are sharp. The one piece varnished walnut grips fit like a glove with some minor finish loss. The case colors have darkened. Balance of metal is a nice smooth aged patina. The action indexes and locks up correctly. The bore exhibits sharp rifling with some minor frosting. (B) Model 1862 Pocket Pistol of Navy Caliber made in 1861. This is a fairly hard to find model. This revolver features a 4 - 1/2" octagon barrel in .36 caliber, short loading lever, 1849 size frame, five shot, rebated cylinder with stagecoach scene with varnished one piece walnut grips. All of the numbers match with exception of loading lever which bears a different number. CONDITION: Straps are brass with no remains of any plating. Colors have darkened. Legends are sharp. The barrel has some flashes of original blue with majority having drifted to a soft patina. The action indexes correctly. The bore exhibits sharp rifling.
