The model 1890 is considered the grandfather of all .22 caliber slide-action rifles. It features full octagon barrel, sporting sites, 2/3rds magazine, takedown, blue finish with walnut butt stock, and rifle butt with small walnut grooved forend. CONDITION: The barrel retains approximately 90% of its original factory blue, that is beginning to drift, with sharp legends and edges. The tube is a smooth, even mix of blue/brown soft patina. The sides of frame retain approximately 75-80% of their original high polish blue finish, while top and bottom of frame and guard are a soft patina. The stocks are proud to metal. As usual minor bruises. The buttplate has drifted to soft patina. The action works perfectly and the bore still exhibits very good rifling. The majority of these rifles saw extremely hard use and seldom retain any amount of original finish. This rifle is far above average.
