Lot consists of (A) An early Model 1908 production in .380 caliber. These early models feature the high polish blue finish with a 3 - 3/4" barrel, early checkered magazine release and early Type 1 sights. The rubber grips are Type 2 with pony in stylized C made after 1911. The magazine has the temper line first used in 1913 with crimped caliber stamped base. CONDITION: The metal finish is a smooth soft brown patina with traces of reapplied blue. Fine grips, bore and action. (B) Model 1908 is the small .25 caliber pocket pistol. It was made in 1916. It features the blue finish with case color grip safety and trigger. The Type 2 rubber grips no longer have the stylized C around the pony. Magazine is tempered and crimped and the caliber is marked on base. CONDITION: A smooth mix of soft patina and blue with some added wiped on finish. Bore is very good with some light abrasion that should clean up better.
