Beautiful Marlin assembled gun with high matted rib with brass front bead. Barrel flats marked with serial number and "FIELD" "2-3/4 CHAMBER". Unengraved case hardened action with "L.C. SMITH" on front of locks. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in point pattern through the wrist and terminates with a lined hard rubber buttplate. Made with double triggers, extractors, and auto safety. Housed in a modern brown leather case with green felt interior. CONDITION: Extremely fine as restored. Retains virtually all restored finish to both wood and metal parts and appears unfired since restoration. The quality of the case coloring on this gun is superb and overall the restoration work is absolutely top notch and undeniably best quality. Case is excellent though the center strap to hold the action in has come loose.
