It would be hard to improve on this high condition US Colt that was made for the Army in 1918. It has all the correct era parts such as the u-notch bevel edge rear sight, long smooth trigger, wide spur hammer, checkered slide stop, safety with smooth mainspring housing with loop. Has a near mint set of diamond checkered walnut grips. JMG inspector stamp on left side of frame for John Gilbert along with US Property markings on slide and frame. The barrel has the proper exposed HP stamp perpendicular to barrel. CONDITION: There is a ghost hint of silver at muzzle, a couple of age spots seen under the finish with bright light but appears almost un-fired or issue and remains a solid 99%. About as good as you will ever find. Even the bore is near mint.
