Breechblock marked "U.S. Model 1884". Gun has "C" marked correct rear carbine sight. According to serial number gun was manufactured in 1880. Carbine style walnut wood unmarked stock with iron furniture including a trap lid buttplate for cleaning rod storage (missing). Slide bar with ring. Correct barrel length. "U.S. Springfield" and eagle marked lock. CONDITION: Overall good with aged patina. Stock has been cleaned with service dings and dents. Good mechanics and bore.
