These were sold by Winchester between 1904 and 1923. Basically a modification the standard 1902 rifle design in which the trigger is located at the rear of the action and fired by the thumb. Marked on the barrel with the Winchester address and patents, as well as "THUMB TRIGGER MODEL". CONDITION: All metal surfaces retain a pleasing patina overall. Markings are clear. Wood has some dings and handling marks, slight crack in wood on either side of the action. Original buttplate. Bore is very good with strong rifling. Fine mechanical function. GR.
