Lot consists of a pair of S&W Model 1937 Brazilian Contract revolvers. Both guns were built on the Model 1917 N-frame six shot double action revolver. Both have the crest of Brazil stamped on right side of frame and are dated 1937. 25000 of these were made in 1937 for the government. They were finished in blue with case color hammer and triggers and were originally shipped with Smith pre-War style commercial checkered walnut grips with silver medallions rather than the US 1917 smooth style. Both have the original lanyard ring but (B) has replaced post-War magna style grips. CONDITION: (A) Retains approximately 75% of the original commercial style bright blue. Grips are rough. (B) Basically a blue/brown patina. Fine grips. The actions are fine and bores are fine. This lot comes with one reproduction US holster.
