Standard configuration 98k Mauser rifle. Marked on the receiver ring "byf/ 41". Bolt is not matching, the rest of the numbers appear to be. Not import marked. Reproduction leather sling and front sight hood. Accompanied by a period but commercial Alcosa bayonet in a non-matching S/155K scabbard. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% finish. Some areas of light surface rust and minor pitting. All markings are clear. Stocks have been stripped and stained, markings in wood are weak. Bore has strong rifling with some light pitting and shows wear. Fine mechanical function. Bayonet is in fine condition with sharp wood grips. Blade has not been sharpened, well marked. Some light surface rust on the pommel. Scabbard has been repainted black. GR
