Chambered for the .243 Winchester round, this is a standard post-War featherweight rifle with a 22" barrel, folding rear sight, ramp front sight, pistol grip checkered walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb and black plastic plate. Etched serial number on bolt matches rifle. Rifle is topped with a Leupold scope and see through mounts. Fine bore and action. CONDITION: Finish is almost gone from floor-plate. Barrel has wear at muzzle and some handling marks. Wood is nice with usual handling marks. Have the floor-plate reblued and you have yourself a nice pre-64 Winchester Model 70.
