A classic Empire period officer's pistol, with blued sighted octagonal barrel. Stamped on left side ELG. A gold damascened urn at breech. Platinum blow-out plug with platinum pan. Lock signed Foure Pimarte. Roller bearing frizzen. Side plate with two lions, spurred trigger guard with urn finial. Silver mask butt. Carved and checkered walnut full stock. CONDITION: Barrel has raised surface rust. Lock has minor surface rust and is cracked to pan. Hammer is a poor replacement. Trigger guard has surface rust. Stock is in good condition, with fairly crisp checkering and only minor marks. Action is crisp. Rifled bore is good. A good Belgian Empire period pistol.
