This is a standard blued rifle in all respects with semi-buckhorn rear sight, sporting front sight, Lyman No. 21 receiver sight, blued finish, walnut stocks, ebony forend tip, and case colored rifle butt. Factory research verifies .30 caliber rifle shipped March 18th, 1903. CONDITION: All metal retains approximately 98-99% of its expertly restored blued finish, done in the true Winchester style. 99% case colors on buttplate. Wood is excellent, proud to metal with a few dings; extremely well-done refinish. Near mint bore and fine action. This rifle is an extremely handsome piece that will remind one of walking into a store in 1920 and seeing these on the sales rack. If you've been looking for a high condition 1895 rifle that you can shoot and don't have to spend a small fortune, you will be thrilled to own this rifle.
