Amongst the most desirable of any .22 bolt action sporting rifle ever made. These fine rifles featured details and workmanship never before awarded to the lowly .22 rifle. They include a fine hand checkered walnut stock with pistol grip, rollover cheekpiece, black forend tip, metal pistol grip cap and checkered steel buttplate. The barrel was not cut for a rear sight, instead features a Lyman receiver sight with a hooded ramp front sight. Rifle is magazine fed and includes one original Winchester stamped magazine. Stock has the Super grade cut for sling swivels. CONDITION: Bore is sharp with well defined rifling. The action is smooth as silk. The wood is excellent with sharp checkering and no added finish within its borders. Metal retains 98% plus original blue finish. With just a few minor handling marks, this rifle shows both condition and quality. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
