The No. 235 was introduced in the J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co. Catalog No. 52 (Revised Edition) which is circa 1909-10. The No. 235 survived World War I and continued to be offered by the J. Stevens Arms Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Savage Arms Corp. through 1931. It is gone from the June 1932 price list. Throughout the time it was offered, it was always shown with a checkered half-pistol grip stock and forearm. The frame is case color and has exposed hammers and manual ejection, splinter fore-end and blue barrels. CONDITION: Barrels have been redone and remain at about 98%. The frame retains majority of original color. Stocks are excellent with minor handling marks. Bores are shiny and lock up is tight as new. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
