Later Flues Model gun with gorgeous chain Damascus barrels that have flat tapered matted top rib with white front bead. Splinter forend is nicely checkered in Fleur-de-lis pattern with push button opener. Action is nicely engraved, perhaps by Joseph Loy, in standard Flues Grade 3 Pattern with pointer on left, setter on right, all surrounded by nicely executed scroll engraving. Bottom of action with falling goose surrounded by scroll capped pistol grip buttstock checkered in Fleur-de-lis pattern is of flame grained American walnut and terminates with what appears to be the original deteriorating Silvers pad. Gold shield near toe. Made with double triggers, auto ejectors, and non-auto safety. CONDITION: Very good as field used. Retains about 20% original color. Engraving is clear. Barrels retain about 70% nice original pattern. Stocks are sound, checkering thinned and retains about 80% original finish with some finish added. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are fine. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
