This fine rifle was made in 1886, the second year of production. This rifle is chambered for the scarce .22 WCF cartridge. Round barrel. The front sight is the adjustable hooded style with semi-buckhorn rear sight and a long range tang sight. The frame, lever and buttplate are case color. The walnut stocks are straight grained American Walnut with ebony tip. The barrel is stamped number 2. CONDITION: Outstanding. The frame retains at least 98% bright color. The lever still has color on the side. The buttplate still has some color on top. The barrel retains about 90% original blue starting to thin a bit. The legends are sharp. The rifling is still strong. This is a sharp rifle. From the Mel Hrubetz collection.
